Ted Hui Chi‑fung is a former Hong Kong legislator and democracy advocate now based in Australia. Representing the Central & Western District and later Hong Kong Island in its Legislative Council, he earned a law degree from the City University of Hong Kong in 2006. Ted became known for championing human rights, environmental protection and democratic reforms, including pushing for an ivory trade ban in 2018. After leaving Hong Kong in 2020 amid escalating political pressure, he continues to speak out internationally on civil liberties and democratic values.
